Meet the story behind the work

Artist and founder

Kia Ora, ko TeMania tōku ingoa.

Ko Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Porou, ratou ko Ngāti Raukawa.

My name is TeMania. And I come from Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Porou, and Ngāti Raukawa. Three special tribes located in New Zealand.


I have always held a deep love and respect for Māoritanga and Te Ao Māori. Through art, I found a way to express my connection, creativity, and understanding of our culture — transforming ideas, stories, and inspiration into visual forms that can be shared with others.

ToiMania Designs was created with the kaupapa of celebrating and promoting our beautiful culture through ngā taonga tuku iho — the treasures, knowledge, and traditions passed down through generations.

Behind this journey, ToiMania has had a beautiful team behind us, that being my whanau (family).

Our mission is to inspire Māori to stand proudly, embrace their identity, and share their stories with the world. Although Aotearoa may be a small country, we carry immense treasures, deep meanings, and big hearts. Through ToiMania, we aim to showcase the beauty, strength, and creativity that lives within our culture.

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mātauranga Māori Currently working towards postgraduate study Experience in mural design and spray painting Digital illustration and Māori-inspired artwork
